Why posture matters
Cleaning is physical work. If your posture is wrong, you’ll feel it in your lower back, shoulders, and wrists. The goal is not “perfect posture” — it’s less strain, more control.
Two quick rules
- Bring the work closer: don’t reach far away with a rounded back.
- Bend your knees, not your spine: lower yourself instead of folding forward.

Extra tips (small changes, big impact)
- Switch hands when wiping or mopping to avoid overloading one side.
- Use a longer handle tool when possible to reduce constant bending.
- Take micro-breaks: 30 seconds every 20–30 minutes is better than pushing through.
